| Personal History | His childhood was pretty much uneventful, until his father was declared missing in action, when his father's ship was destroyed over the planet, Iris III. However, when the crew of the USS Iris were rescued, the was no sign of his father. After that, his mother took care of him alone, along with the help of his Grandfather. However, when he joined the academy, his Grandfather died. After that, he started to act out. Sure, he got by with passing grades, but he did many things that caused him to be reprimanded multiple times, into his early Starfleet career. While serving on his second assignment, the USS Typhoon, he was assigned to an away team, to investigate the disappearance of another away team that hadn't reported back in over 12 hours. Jackson and the away team were in a ravine when they were ambushed by the rather hostile natives of that planet. Because of this, the XO of the Typhoon, and some other members of the away team were severely injured, however, they did repel the natives. After that, Jackson took command of the non injured members to go find the missing away team. Hours later, he found the members, and defended them against the hostiles. Shortly after, he was promoted, and awarded the pike medal of honor, as numerous members of the crew could have died then and there. However, even though he saved the away teams, he has felt guilty ever since because it was his idea to go through the ravine. In fact, he almost retired from Starfleet because of this. Thanks to his mother's persuasion, he remained in Starfleet, to rise up in the ranks, until he applied to the USS Albion, to be Executive Officer. To be continued... |
