Mack: "lieutenants, since we have nothing especially urgent right now, two things. one, I suggest someone examine the large "your eyes only" communication on the captain's com link, since as far as I'm aware nobody
has looked at it. The captain is still not in condition to command, and the commander has left you in charge, mister Genno. If you want to do something bold, this would be the time.
Two, we still do not know what orders sent us to the nebula. we do have reason to think that it has particuarly undesirable effects on crew members and I would at least advise reporting that to fleet. To my knowledge
that has not been done yet.

I would also like to request permission to go off duty for a while and inspect the cargo holds and my quarters to verify they have been properly configured with the scanning devices I requested. "
