OFF: And so it begins! Who's excited, I know I am. On with the show in that sort of way lol

ON: (U.S.S. Albion - Bridge)

"We are now entering Altara Nebula." her voice echoed through the bridge. Sheeraashaa had spent many a year on small ships. Started with Miranda and Saber, and then worked up to an Ambassador and Excelsior. However her skills and dedicated time had finally brought her to one of the ships of the line. A Galaxy class had more space, room and luxury that she had ever been accustomed to her back home, even in the ships she served on. The bridge was the largest she had even been on. The main console in front of her hands was almost too large for her to do her job... almost.
Genno realized very quickly that she had informed the Captain about their location and the status of the ship and he had said nothing back. It was a litle unusual. She leaned over slightly and tried to get a quick peak of the Captain's face. She couldn't see much, but she could see that he looked a little more white than usual, and almost seemed either zoned out, or deep in thought. Finally some life came back into the man when he twitched and spoke up.

"What am I doing here? ... and I'm-- retired?" he said very low to himself.

Genno was almost taken back for a moment about the humans confusing choice of both words, and the specific order he put them in. Before she even had a chance to address the Captain, an alarm went off as the ship entered the very outskirts of the Nebula. There was a small spike in radiation, nothing to be worried about, but an alarm went off never the less. When her eyes focused back to the Command chair, she saw that it was now empty, and Captain Sprague was now making his way to his ready room. He seemed to stubble a bit, almost tripping over his own feet. Not once, not twice, but thrice.
Her mouth moved to her left side as it almost seemed like cause for concern, again, almost. The First Officer Commander Andrews would be able to recognize if there was anything wrong with him. For now she had more pressing concerns on her mind. The safety of the ship and her crew was always on the forefront of her mind. A matter she almost took with the utmost seriousness. She could never prove it, but there was probably an argument to be made that it was her work ethic and dedication that lead her to the promotion to the Albion as both a Lieutenant, and her Chief Security and Tactical Officer.
More unsaid words were the fact that she still felt there was some stigma around and Orion serving on Federation starship. Not only just an Orion, but a female Orion. Back in her days as a cadet she had a few run-ins, choice words and a tussle or two regarding that fact. Genno was now even questioning why those thoughts and memories were coming back at this specific time. She metaphorically shook her head to return it back to what the humans called, the game. For now she had her specific duty to do, and until ordered otherwise, she would stay at her post at Tactical, ensuring the readiness of the Albion.

OFF: First one from me!
