::The ruined USS Hathaway rotates slowly on Sprague’s screen.::

Key: “Remind me; didn’t the Hathaway explode seventy years ago?”

Andrews: “Scrapped.”

Key: “Right. Slightly better.”

Sprague: “Its transponder just sent a distress call from the Kessik Expanse.”

Key: “Or someone opened a very committed museum.”

Sprague: ::Plays the message. Static floods the room::

Voice: =/\= This is Captain Pendergast of the Hathaway. We are under attack… they’re already aboard… the… =/\= ::The signal dies. Silence::

Key: ::Holds his hands up:: “…absolutely not. It sounds too serious for us!”

Sprague: “We’re already en route.”

Key: “You started moving before telling us?”

Sprague: “Experience suggests you complain less at warp.”

Andrews: ::Taking a slice of pizza:: “He’s right.”

::The ship rumbles as engines accelerate::

Key: “If this turns out to be ghosts, I want it noted I died protecting dinner.”

Sprague: “Already noted in my log.”
