::mack is back to his science station, attempting to re-establish furtive communications with the battle component EXCEPT the battle-bridge, where the deluded captain is still presumably in control of nav and weapons systems at least::

"I believe I have established some degree of communications with the separated battle-unit, without making it obvious to the captain. non-human interfaces appear to be partially
responding to commands but I am keeping them "passive appearing" as though they were automated AI. Some information feedbacks will reach other stations on the bridge as
presumed appropriate by on-board AI in the battle unit."

::messages are sent from the following apparent-origins to the indicated consoles:

evidence of tricorder readings detecting about 3 dozen life forms in stasis pods in cargo deck 1. info sent to genno's station only.

evidence of containment field established within the large object found in cargo bay 2: sent to Hadden's station only

evidence of large object in cargo bay 2 with complex security lockouts: sent to Andrews' station only::

"Commander. Have you had a chance to review the large message I found on the comm system, originally secured "your eyes only" to the captain? I presume
under the circumstances that you would relieve him of command, at least for obvious medical reasons, unless that requires Doctor Spivick to approve it. I would
think that someone of appropriate rank other than the captain, should be aware of what is in that message. As I had reported to the captain before all of these events
took place, the message appears to be secured with some combination of standard federation encryption but also a portion that is encrypted in a manner not familiar
to my communications training.

I recommend attempting to re-establish some form of control over the battle bridge. I case anyone did as I suggested earlier, and established a containment field around it,
to keep it from being used against us, this would be a good time to re-activate that field if possible."

I will continue my scan sweeps while avoiding being detected by the captain. Unless there are other orders, sir or maam."
